There are several U.S. Military Installations within close proximity of our Colorado Springs hotel, including Fort Carson, Peterson Air Force Base, Schriever Air Force Base, Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station, NORAD, U.S. Air Force Academy, and USNORTHCOM.

Fort Carson - 6 Miles. Fort Carson is where the 43rd ASG, 3rd ACR, 3rd BCT, 13th Air Support Operations Squadron, 5th Armored Brigade, and the 10th Special Forces Group reside. The main mission of Fort Carson is to train, deploy, and sustain troops that are ready for combat. In addition, Fort Carson is home to the Post Mobilization Maneuver Training Center. Peterson Air Force Base - 8 Miles. Located in Colorado Springs, CO, Peterson Air Force Base is where you’ll find U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), Air Force Space Command, Army Space Command, plus the 302nd Airlift Wing of the Air Force Reserve. Schriever Air Force Base - 10 Miles. Only 10 miles from Peterson Air Force Base, Schriever Air Force Base is the newest of U.S. Air Force bases and headquarters for the 50th Space Wing. Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station - 4 Miles. Air Force Space Command oversees Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station, which began in the 1950s during the Cold War as a defense against long-range Soviet missiles. Overseen by the Army Corps of Engineers, Cheyenne Mountain was excavated for the purpose of building an operational center. It’s responsible for monitoring man-made objects in space, as well warning of any North America attack via missiles or aircraft. USNORTHCOM. Established in 2002, U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) is responsible for the planning, organizing, and executing of missions for Homeland Defense.
